Description: A philosopher and a computer scientist will lead this interdisciplinary workshop at the International ISSEI conference in beautiful Helsinki, Finland: “Language and the Scientific Imagination.” Papers on any facet of computer ethics are welcome, but we especially welcome papers on privacy and intellectual property issues. The workshop will take place under the impetus of a new institute that we are founding, with NSF support, at the University of Texas at El Paso: ISTEP (Institute for Science, Technology, Ethics, and Policy). Submit abstract by 3/1/08.
