Banner Advertising at Erratic Impact

Erratic Impact currently receives over 150,000 unique, highly focused page views a month. Banner advertising at Erratic Impact is an easy way to bring that targeted audience to your product, site, or service. For as little as $2 per thousand impressions (CPM), we can rotate your ad on our most popular subject pages and sub-webs to an audience that matches your interest, your market and your expertise.

All our Advertising Packages insure that your banner, feature box or button will appear 'above the fold' of the page upon which your ad is to appear.  Not only this, but only one advertising banner and no more than two feature box or button ads will appear on a page at any one time (not including book promotions).   

To begin your advertising campaign with us, simply decide which type(s) of advertising programs you would like to run, as well as the number of impressions that best fit your advertising budget.  If you wish, you can start out with a low number of impressions and always add more, but keep in mind that the more you purchase initially, the more you save with a lower cost per thousand (CPM).

We offer secure credit card processing through PayPal, one of the most popular and trusted payment options on the internet. If you would rather pay by mail, contact us with the details of your request.

If you choose PayPal as your payment method, after your payment has been processed, you will be returned to Erratic Impact where you can then fill out a short form to help expedite the processing of your account. As soon as payment is verified, we will forward your account information to you via the email address you provided.  Then, simply Login to your account to upload new banners, check on impression and click-through rates, update your contact information, etc. 

Three Types of Banner Ad Campaigns

Header Banners (468 x 60)

Header Banners are traditional sized banners (468 wide x 68 tall measured in pixels) which always run 'above the fold,' at the top of pages (see the example at the top of this page) within a particular topic page, featured philosopher page, or set of pages within a sub-web of your choosing.

Feature Box Advertisements (125 x 125)

Feature Box Ads are square images which always appear 'above the fold' in the page's right hand navigational column (see the example at the upper right portion of this page) within a particular topic page, featured philosopher page, or set of pages within a sub-web of your choosing.

Button Advertisements (88 x 31)

Button Ads are retangular images which always appear 'above the fold' to the right or left of the Resource Index (see the example toward the top of this page) within a particular topic page, philosopher page, or set of pages within a sub-web of your choosing.

Banner Advertising Terms and Conditions

• Erratic Impact reserves the right to refuse advertising privileges to any web site for any reason, including the promotion of pornographic products and/or content, the advocating of illegal activities, immoral conduct, plagiarism, cheating, etc.
• We appreciate, but do not require, reciprocal links to Erratic Impact to be posted on your site.
• Banners and graphics used on the pages of Erratic Impact's Philosophy Research Base must of a certain size, and exact dimensions, depending upon what type of account you choose.
  
  

     Measured in pixels, dimensions are:

  • 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels high (banners)
  • 125 pixels wide by 125 pixels high (boxes)
  • 88 pixels high by 31 pixels high (buttons)

      Measured in kilobytes, size must not exceed 14 KB.

• Erratic Impact does not offer refunds, but if inconsistencies in service are found, refunds will be issued to the advertiser in the form of credits for future impressions.

• Erratic Impact reserves the right to modify, change or otherwise improve upon the design and format of any or all of its pages at any time without notice.
