Dads and Daughters is the national membership
organization of fathers with daughters. DADs provides tools to strengthen
our relationships with our daughters and to transform the pervasive
messages that value our daughters more for how they look than who they
are.
DADs began in the spring of 1999 with the support of
philanthropist and father Michael Kieschnick. Michael was (and is) very
involved in the lives of his children. He and his wife make every effort
to help their kids be true to themselves. Still, Michael could see how the
media and our culture were beginning to affect his daughter in negative
ways.

The Evangelical Philosophical Society is an organization
of professional scholars and laymen devoted to pursuing philosophical
excellence for Christ in both the church and the academy. As a part of
this pursuit, we seek to offer scholarly, evangelical perspectives on
issues relating to the philosophy of religion, philosophical theology,
ethics, and issues of general philosophy.
Doctrinally we are aligned most closely with historic
Christianity (as expressed in a creed like the Apostle's Creed) and with
what has come to be known as modern evangelicalism. We hold strongly to
Christian essentials such as salvation by faith in Christ. However we
actively are engaged in dialogue with all those who make philosophical,
scholarly attempts at understanding God and our world.
The Evangelical Philosophical Society meets annually in
conjunction with the conference held by the Evangelical
Theological Society. EPS also sponsors an affiliated meeting that
occurs during the American Academy of Religion conference.
Founded in 1974, The Evangelical Philosophical Society has
grown to over 380 members. Our journal, Philosophia
Christi, is a scholarly publication containing papers, articles,
dialogs, and reviews on a variety of topics that are of interest to
philosophers of religion as well as to the general philosopher.
For membership information please send email to eps8451@epsociety.org
or browse to http://www.epsociety.org/members.htm.
