Since 1960 the International Philosophical Quarterly has provided an international forum in English for the exchange of basic philosophical ideas. The journal is open to the philosophical discussion of contemporary issues as well as to historical studies in philosophy. It stands in the general tradition of theistic and personalist humanism, but without further restriction of school or philosophical orientation within these broad perspectives. International in scope, the journal enjoys contributions from authors around the world. It is edited at Fordham University but numbers among its Associate Editors scholars from both the Far East and from Europe (including a long-standing relationship with the Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix in Belgium). The International Philosophical Quarterly circulates to institutions and individuals in 70 countries and is now published by the Philosophy Documentation Center.
If you know of a philosophy journal that isn't listed in the index, you can send us the information in an email message. We would appreciate it.
