Quine is probably the most important analytic philosopher
since the
1950's, when he published the seminal essay "The Two Dogmas of
Empiricism". This essay, which stands as the foundation for
virtually all work in the subsequent tradition of Quine and Davidson, is
only about 25 pages long, but one would be hard-pressed to find any
other single essay in the last century that has generated such a radical
'revolution' in analytic philosophy...
